Aksu said poverty can be prevented through microcredit without using a dime of public resources, donations and loans. The world's first country


Aksu, a former Interior Minister and a key member of the AK Party, said microfinance could be implemented in 81 provinces and 4 million households, without using a single penny of public resources, donations and loans, without Interest, to achieve the goal of ‘the world's first country: Turkey’, where poverty is not present, by 2030. With this application, it is aimed to raise all the poor people who are able to work above the poverty line by providing microcredit support, engaging in self-generating activities and as microcredit.


The impact of 15 million...


The culture of making money by doing business; Aksu stated that it would affect both the family and other neighbors and relatives around it, thus providing self-generating activities with microcredit through the bank and spreading the culture of entrepreneurship throughout the society is intended to be achieved.


"When new strategies are carried out to combat poverty with banks, a leverage effect will be created in the lives of approximately 15 million people which is 18 percent of Turkey's population," Aksu said.

185 thousand women manufacturers


As of July 31, 185 thousand women are involved in economic life through microcredit and are producers, Abdulkadir Aksu said, "They have contributed greatly to the economy and in short they have become taxpayers. It has been exhausted, producing and issuing tax. The amount of microcredit given to 185 thousand women to date has exceeded 875 million liras. This program is really important. It is very important that our women are included in the economic life and contribute to the home economy, the regional economy and the country's economy. Our ladies have really shown great success in this regard, "he said.


"I hope that we will meet with all our banks, especially our own bank, and carry out a microcredit application to be made without spending public resources throughout Turkey," Aksu said.


 

How will the application be implemented?


Abdulkadir Aksu also explained how the application will be implemented:


 

- Deposit holders will be able to open a Microcredit Voluntary Maturity Deposit Account in addition to their accounts. The amount of funds in this new account will be used for microcredit activities under the Turkish Foundation for Waste Reduction. In this way, it will be distributed to poor women as microcredits.


 

- Deposit holders of all banks will be able to fund the Microcredit Voluntary Maturity Deposit Account from their overdue deposit accounts, ATM, branch or EFT. 


 

- Microcredit Maturity account, in the event that the bank decides to transfer funds from the existing deposit account holder, electronically (internet, mobile) or branch; the bank will open an additional type of deposit account in the system. Thus, the deposit account holder will have two overdue accounts. In addition to the existing maturity deposit account in the bank, microcredit will be a personalized and limited amount of The Microcredit Maturity Deposit Account.


 

- This new account will be used as a microcredit for the poor. However, if the deposit account holder withdraws money during the day, this amount will be paid from the Microcredit Maturity Deposit Account pool.


 

- Microcredit will be managed in accordance with the rules of the Account of Maturity Deposits, BDDK and CBT or other relevant institutions. There will be no charge for money transfers (wire transfers and EFT) to the poor. In this way, more poor individuals will benefit from the available resource.


 

'We involve women in business'


Aziz Akgül, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Turkish Foundation for Waste Reduction, which plays a leading role in the implementation of microcredit, said that instead of grant sourcing for the poor who are able to work, they should engage in self-generating activities. should be encouraged and supported in this direction. "Poverty can never be prevented with grant donations. Grant sourcing to every poor man is also a very serious waste of resources, "he said.


International strategy

Akgul, the amount of investment required for the employment of 1 person with foreign capital in Turkey is 928 thousand TL, while the investment amount required for the employment of 1 person with domestic capital ingenuity is TL 385 thousand, with microcredit, in an income-generating activity for the poor (microentrepreneur) is 1000 TL of the capital needed. 870 million liras


"Microcredit, which enables the effective use of financial resources in order to enable the poor in Turkey to reach small capital, started with the establishment of the Turkish Grameen Microfinance Program in 2003. Since its inception, more than 185,000 women have provided microcredits in excess of 870 million pounds in order to become microentrepreneurs. The return rate of microcredits given is 100 percent success. In this way, poor women can benefit from the same capital many times. It is estimated that the number of beneficiaries together with family members is approximately 700,000 people. Thanks to new microcredit projects, we aim to reach more and more poor women in the coming years. If there are enough funding sources, we plan to incorporate about 4 million poor women into the business life by making them micro-entrepreneurs in Turkey."

6- If Halil wants to use the money transferred to the Microcredit Maturity Deposit Account or requests a refund, the amount transferred by Halil is returned to Halil from the 'pool microcredit account' in which the amounts are transferred for the application of microcredit.

5- GER Company will be able to use the amount transferred to the Microcredit Maturity Deposit Account instantly at any time and without any restrictions.


 

6- If GER wants to use the money transferred to the 'Microcredit Maturity Deposit Account' or requests a refund, the amount transferred by GER Company will be returned to the company from the pool account where the amounts are transferred for the application of microcredit.
